Acura is a North American branch of Honda Concern, specializing in hospitality and sports cars.

The plant American Honda Motor Co. was discovered in California on March 27, 1986. Name “Acura” appeared in 1989 and refers to prestigious brand Honda, sold in the United States for years. Performance data of Acura cars, as a rule, do not differ from the corresponding parameters of Honda cars. Most models were produced directly in the North America (CL and TL), and some models (RL and NSX) because of low demand were imported from Japan. When count just “American” models before 1999, Acura has made 101,3 thousand units.

The main difference of Acura brand is a sporty look and a higher level of equipment. In addition, Acura have more prestigious models of TL and RL in US, which Honda does not offer for american people at all.
