admin Today Audi is one of the most well-known companies throughout the Europe, which almost 100 years has been producing cars for non-commercial vehicles. August Horch founded the company in 1910. He also was one of shareholders of the company that bears his name (Horch Werke), but because of internal problems he left it. As for the name of his new company Horch had no time to think. His name translates from German as “listen”. For this reason he decided to use its Latin version.
Audi emblem with an image of four rings is the symbol of the merging of four independent automobile manufacturers in 1932: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer.
